Leebob Cox

LEEBOB COX is the founder and longtime owner of La Fonda restaurant in Lafayette, La.

Born Oct. 28, 1929 in Jamestown, N.Y., he worked for a San Antonio-based seismic company and served two years in the U.S. Army at Fort Ord, California., before opening his restaurant in 1957.

He reared two children, Sherwood and Stephanie, with his first wife, Alice. In 1996 he married Sandra Fromenthal; the couple resides in Lafayette.
