Former U.S. Army helicopter pilot Hugh Thompson (standing left) and his former gunner, Larry Colburn, visit with a Vietnamese school teacher and her pupils at My Lai in March of 1998. Thompson, Colburn and the late Glenn Andreotta are credited with stopping the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam War and saving the lives of many children who would have looked a lot like these.
